"Vampire ponies are not as powerful and invincible as they claim they are; if anything, they are WEAK. The ponies they were are cowards who couldn't bear the weight of their own equinity, and so readily abandoned it for immortality and monstrous power.
Now they are no more than pathetic, hallow creatures of the night who cannot survive without the life-blood of others, life-blood that they must steal in order to not shamble to a halt. And so they hunt; preying on the helpless mortals, fancying themselves to be a superior to those whom they feast upon like carrion-eaters, like parasites.
Do I hate them? Yes, but I also pity them. Many of them would come to realize what they had become; eventually, one after another, they will cry out for death. And death is the greatest mercy that can be given to these monsters."
